Clos Saint Pierre Estate
Located at the heart of the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Clos Saint Pierre estate stands out as a family residence combining vines, wine, and the art of living. Ce jardin viticole de 4,5 hectares en fait le plus petit clos de la région, et également le domaine le plus confidentiel de l’appellation.
With yields restrictedper hectare, each harvest is a meticulous endeavor. The berries are painstakingly sampled to establish the optimal harvest time, which is conducted manually and using crates so that the fruits keep their shape. This is followed by rigorous and meticulous sorting to guarantee exceptional quality at every stage of production.
THE CLOS SAINT-PIERRE TERROIR
The vines are cultivated using certified organic practices. Honoring the traditional process, we work the soil and use our own horse manure-based compost to encourage the vines’ roots to grow deep. This captures the soil’s energy and minerality while enriching microbial life and ecosystems underground.
Yields are low, ranging from 24 to 33 hl/ha. The harvest, guided by berry tasting, is conducted manually and using crates so that the fruits keep their shape. Sorting is strict and meticulous, and vinification based on terroir, grape variety, and maturity. The wine is developed using punch-down and gravity only, even during bottling. Everything is designed to guarantee purity of expression and aromatic precision.
